Biography* Mary Ellen Lunney Magee, 1917-2000:
When she was 8 years-of-age, circa 1925, Mary Ellen went to live with her aunt, Mary Ann Clancy, and her great uncle, James Martin, in Clonliff townland. James Martin was a brother of Mary Ellen's grandmother, Ellen Martin Clancy. Mary Ellen was also living in Clonliff at her 1950 marriage. The marriage was performed by the Rev. Lawrence Gilmartin before witnesses James Magee and Margaret Reilly. In 1979, a resident of Clonliff, Mary Ellen was registered as the owner of the Clancy homestead in Crocknacreevy. In 1993, she transferred ownership of the homestead to her daughter and son-in-law, Gretta and Martin Goodwin.

Mary Ellen, age 83, died on a Friday in Enniskillen hospital. She had been in failing health for some years.

Biography* John F. Gilroy, 1905-1969:
When John was born in 1905, his illiterate father was working as a herder. Six years later, in 1911, John's father was working as a farmer and could sign his name. At that time, John, his parents and siblings, all Fermanagh born, were living in Drumrooske, Kinawley parish, County Fermanagh. Ten children had been born to Margaret McGoldrick Gilroy, seven of whom were living. Of the seven, five boys and two girls, John was the fourth oldest. There were two older boys and one older girl. The family lived in a private dwelling with two out-buildings. The house had stone walls, a thatch roof, four rooms and three windows in front. The house was rated 2nd class and was occupied by the one family. John's father was the landholder. The out-buildings consisted of a cow house and a piggery. When John was married in 1946 his farmer father was alive.

John, age 64, died on a Sunday.
