| Biography* | William Wuerth, 1877-????: William was a first generation American born to German parents. At his 1900 marriage, he was working as a painter. In 1920, William and wife Anna were living in Grant township in Rusk County, Wisconsin. In 1930, they were living in Hubbard township, owned their own home valued at $4,000 and William was working as a dairy farmer. According to family lore, William was a moonshiner. |

At the time of his 1931 marriage, at age 34, Valentine continued to reside in his birthplace of Oakdale township, Monroe County, Wisconsin. |
