| Biography* | Patrick Crowley, 1872-1937: In 1911, Patrick Crowley and family lived in and operated a public house in Winthrop Street, Trinity parish, County Cork. It was located in the Centre ward of Cork City No. 1. The building had stone walls, a slate roof, and seven rooms with nine windows in the front. The building was listed as 1st class. There were no out-buildings. Patrick listed and signed his name in Irish. He listed his occupation as vintner. In addition to Patrick, wife Hannah and four children there were four servants living in the house - two barmaids, a domestic servant and a nurse. Patrick, Hannah and the two oldest children were Irish speakers. Patrick, age 64, died on a Tuesday. |
