Patrick's father Michael was married twice and sired a total of fifteen children. Patrick was the fifth born to the second wife and the 10th of his father. The family moved to Wisconsin circa 1852 because, according to family lore, the father wanted to be close to one of his brothers. They settled on a farm in Center township in Rock County, Wisconsin. Patrick continued to farm in Center and Porter townships after his 1878 marriage and by 1900 was renting a farm in Janesville township. By this time, he had been naturalized. Sometime after 1900, Patrick and wife Julia moved to Chicago presumably having foregone farming. Nothing furthur has been learned about him. There is a tombstone in his memory in Janesville but nothing is known about his death date (besides the year on the tombstone) or his place of death. |

| Biography* | Anastasia Wadden Ryan, 1848-1922: Anastasia's father ran a food store in Ireland and exported food to England. The family immigrated to the United States 1849/49 settling first in Hazel Green, Grant County, Wisconsin. By 1857, they had moved to Fillmore County, Minnesota. Anastasia's 1868 marriage was witnessed by John Warren and Elisabeth O'Herin. By 1886, she had delivered eleven children approximately one every 20-months. The following year William, Anastasia and children moved to Farmington township, Lake County, Dakota Territory. After husband William died in 1892, Anastasia continued to operate the farm with the help of her sons. She had a very keen mind and was very knowledgeable about the business of farming. Although she was not a tall lady, she was very strict and expected homage from all. She would have family sessions— meaning all were to gather at one time when she gave orders. Anastasia had a large vegetable and flower garden. Her home had large heavy furniture, and the drapes were always partially closed. They didn’t eat in the kitchen; they ate in the dining room where the table was set with white linens and fine china. The kitchen was bright and sunny, and always smelled of food cooking. In later years, Anastasia and her daughter, Frances, moved into Madison, Lake County. In 1920, they were living on 2nd Street NW. Anastasia died at her home on a Saturday, age 74. She was survived by four daughters, Mrs. A.L. Boyd of Junius (within the past year widowed), Mrs. John Mulvihill residing in the west city limits, Mrs. John Harrington of Carthage, Frances of Colorado Springs, and three sons, James address unknown [The other two sons aren't mentioned]. V.R. Wadden of Madison is a brother of the deceased. There is no tombstone in St Thomas cemetery for her.
