| Biography* | Frank Horan, 1881-1967: Born in Minnesota, Frank's parents were first-generation Irish-Americans both born in Ohio. Frank's father Michael grew up in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio. Frank's mother's maiden name came from the Demers GEDCOM. In 1900, when Frank was 17 and still living with his parents, they owned a farm free of mortgage in Denver township, Sargent County, North Dakota. Frank had an older sister also born in Minnesota and a younger sister born in North Dakota. (Based on the children's birthyears, the family moved to North Dakota sometime between 1882 and 1893). By 1910, Frank, married and with a 7-month-old daughter, owned a farm with mortgage in the same township. In 1920, they were renting a farm also in Denver township. In 1930, rent for the farm was $8/month. Frank died on a Monday at age 85. |
