Fuenral services were held Wednesday morning from Saint Joseph's church with the Rev. G. J. Kaiser officiating. |

| Biography* | Laurence J. Meister, 1898-1968: Born in Bear Creek township in Sauk County, Lawrence was of medium height and medium build with blue eyes and light colored hair. A licensed cheese maker, he worked in that trade until March of 1946 when he sold the Military Ridge cheese factory near Patch Grove in Grant County, Wisconsin. Laurence then farmed near Patch Grove until 1962 when he moved to Prairie du Chien in Crawford County. Laurence, age 70, died on a Saturday in a Lancaster hospital after a long illness. He was survived by his wife, three sons, two daughters, five grandchildren, one brother, and one sister. His funeral was held on Monday at Saint John's in Patch Grove. |

By 1944, they had moved to Spring Green. By 1962, to Lone Rock in Richland County. Mary Theresa, age 82, died on a Tuesday of an apparent heart attack. She was survived by her husband, nine children, 52 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and one brother. She was preceded in death by one son, four grandchildren, and two brothers. Her funeral was held at Sacred Heart in Lone Rock on Friday with the Rev. Leonard Kaiser officiating. |

Funeral services were held on Monday at Saint Luke's in Plain and officiated by the Rev. Peter A. Beschta who was assisted by the Rev. W. Multerer of Sauk City and the Rev. N. Beschta of Loretto. Six of Peter's grandsons served as pall bearers. |

| Biography* | Peter Meister, 1907-1989: There is a discrepancy concerning Peter's birthdate. It is listed as 12 November in his obituary, as 13 November in his Social Security Death Record. At the time of his 1939 marriage, Peter was living at Reedsburg in Sauk County and working as a truck driver. He was married by the Rev. Eugene Kiernan in front of witnesses Bernard Byrnes and Margaret Kelly. In 1940, Peter and Kathleen moved to Beloit in Rock County. There he was employed as a molder with the Fairbanks-Morse Company until his retirement in 1973. Peter was a member of Saint Jude parish and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Bowling League and the Quarter Century Club at Fairbanks-Morse. A resident of 2045 Forest Avenue in Beloit, Peter died on a Thursday in the Beloit Convalescent Center. He was survived by his wife, three daughters, two sons, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, four sisters, and one grandson. The funeral was held on Monday. | |

| Biography* | Theresa Lucy Meister Kelly Haggerty Cameron, 1891-1987: Christened Theresa Lucy Meister on 27 July 1891 at Saint Luke's in Plain by the Rev. Stephen Duren and sponsored by her aunt Theresa Pulvermacher. Theresa was married in 1915 to Edward Kelly of Cleveland, Ohio at Saint Luke's by the Rev. Gep. Pesch. Her marriage was witnessed by her parents. Of the six children Theresa had by Edward Kelly, two died while still babies. In 1920, she, Edward and their two children were living at 12 North Blair Street in Madison. After her husband died in 1924, Theresa put her children in the care of her parents and left home to find work. In the beginning Theresa sent money home, but she never returned to her family. When her son James died in 1962 she was living in Detroit, Michigan and was married to a Mr. Haggerty. Later, she was in Toledo, Ohio working for the Libby Glass Company and was married to a Mr. Cameron. She was still a resident of Toledo when she died in 1987. |

Peter, 78, died on a Tuesday at the Iowa County Memorial Hospital. He was survived by his wife, one daughter, five sons, 15 grandchildren, and one brother. Funeral services were held on Thursday. Pallbearers were: Paul Miess, Avoca; Bob Miess, Dodgeville; Gene Miess, Dodgeville; Gary Mott, Madison; Jim Ruppert, Dodgeville; and Dick Ruppert, Mineral Point. |
