She was survived by two sons, four daughters, 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two sisters. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and one grandchild. Funeral services were held on Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic church, Reedsburg with the Rev. Gerald Vosen officiating. |

| Biography* | Helmer Lind Larson, 1895-1963: Helmer was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith while a young boy in Sweden. On 18 April 1923, he arrived in the Port of New York onboard the steamship Stockholm from Gotherburg. Helmer was married and traveling with his first wife Emma. They had been living in Sigtuna, her birthplace, when they left for the U.S.A. with $250 between them. Helmer and Emma were bound for Saint Louis Park, Minnesota to meet his cousin, Ann Erickson of 27 Toledo Avenue. Helmer, with fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes, and tatoos on both hands, was a bricklayer. He worked in Chicago for several years before moving to Worthing where he continued in the trade. Helmer, age 67, died at his home on a Friday night following a heart attack. Survivors included his wife and two sisters. He also was survived by two daughters and five grandchildren from a previous marriage all of whom reside in Sweden. Helmer was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers. Funeral services were held on Monday at Dindot's Funeral Chapel in Lennox by Rev. Gilbert Singer. Pallbearers were Sylvan Fodness, Orwin Fodness, Palmer Larson, Clifford Larson, Melvin Lind, and Rudolph Johnson. |

| Biography* | Rossetter J. Leavitt, 1893-1949: Ross grew up on the family farm three miles north of Worthing in La Valley Township, Lincoln County, South Dakota. He attended grade school in Worthing and the Baptist college and Sioux Falls Business college in Sioux Falls. He grew to a man of medium height and stout build with blue eyes and brown hair. After his marriage, he and wife Laura lived on the home farm. Ross was a member of the Congregational church and belonged to the Masonic and Odd Fellow lodges. In mid-January 1949, Ross and Laura drove to Texas where they visited their son Lt. Pierce Leavitt and his wife at New Braunfels. It was their intent to spend several weeks touring during their return. While driving on Hwy 83 near Le Feria, Texas on a Wednesday, Ross, age 55, was stricken with a fatal heart attack. He was survived by his wife, son, daughter, mother, brother, sister, and two grandsons. The remains were transported to Worthing where funeral services were held from the Congregational church in Worthing on Tuesday with the Rev. August Hintz, of Sioux Falls, officiating. Delwin Kuhns was soloist and Mis MarJean Johnson, pianist. Pallbeaers were Walter Sherman, Palmer Peterson, George Knutson, Art Tronson, George Ysbrand, and Dick Reiners. |
