| Biography* | Matthew Pulvermacher, 1880-1952: Matthew was christened at Saint Luke's in Plain on 14 May 1880. He was sponsored by his uncle Matt Pulvermacher. Matthew's marriage in 1906 was performed by the Rev. John Leo Schumacher and was witnessed by his bride's brother John Bindl and by his own sister Maria Pulvermacher. A man of medium height and build with blue eyes and black hair, Matthew lived and farmed in Bear Creek Township, Sauk County both before and after his marriage. By 1946, he had moved to Boscobel in Grant County. Matt, age 72, died on a Thursday. Funeral services were held at Immaculate Conception Church on Monday conducted by Rev. Robert McCarthy. Pallbearers were F. Huebsch Jr., L. Nachreiner, Fred Nachreiner, Adam Huebsch, L. Ruhland, and F. Pulvermacher. |

| Biography* | Catherine Reynolds Leonard, 1872-1945: Catherine immgrated to the United States circa 1889 as a teenager. In addition to her roles as wife and mother, she was a member of the Ascension Branch, L. C. B. A. Catherine died in hospital on a Thursday at age 73. She was survived by two sons, three daughters, and two brothers. Catherine's funeral was held from the Athy Memorial Home on Saturday followed by high mass at Saint John's. |
