Marcella was working as a stenographer at an arts company. In 1930, she was living in Des Moines, Iowa with husband John Cody.

Biography* Henrietta M. Sargent Cody, 1895-1959:
Henrietta was christened on 12 January 1896. Both of her parents were first generation Americans whose own parents were born in Germany. In 1900, Henrietta's father James was working as a teamster and the family was renting at 2613 22nd Street in Saint Louis 17th ward. At the time of her 1917 marriage to Richard Cody, Henrietta was living at 2308 Cass Avenue. The marriage was performed by the Rev. Jas. Thos. Coffey before witnesses James G. McEneny & Catherine M. Collins.

A resident of Moscow Mills, Missouri, formerly of Ferguson, Henrietta died on a Friday. She was survived by three sons, and one daughter. Her funeral was held on the following Tuesday from Holy Ghost church in Berkeley, Missouri. Collier's funeral home, 10123 St. Charles Road, was in charge of arrangements.

Biography* Wm. Martin Scully, 1867-1950:
Martin Scully, a resident of Maryborough in County Leix or Laois (formerly Queens), arrived in the U.S.A. at the Port of New York on 6 April 1892 aboard the White Star Steamship Teutonic from Liverpool, England. Martin was a large man, six-feet one-inch in height weighing 197 pounds. He had brown hair, blue eyes, fair complexion and no visible distinctive marks. In 1906, he was residing at 4200 South Broadway in Saint Louis and working as a porter. In 1910, he was living with his future mother-in-law and working as a gardener. In 1920, he and Statia were renting at 1028 Tamm in the 24th ward and he was working as a packer in a shoe house.


Martin, a resident of 6276 Famous Avenue, died on a Tuesday at St Louis City hospital. He was attended by Dr J. D. Ferry of 1515 Lafayette Avenue. Martin was employed at the City Art Museum. He was survived by one son and one daughter. A private funeral will be held on Thursday from M.J.Croghan and sons funeral home, 7146 Manchester. Burial in Resurrection cemetery.

The only info we have on Anthony to date is the 1930 census which lists him as a first generation Portugese-American born in California. There are three other Anthony/Tony/Antone Silva's about the same age, etc in the California records we have had access to for the relavent timeframe (1895-1930).

In 1930, Anthony, his wife, Marie Begley, and their three sons are renting on 916 Pardee in Berkeley, California. This is two doors from his in-laws who are at 920 Pardee.

Jeane was the second child and first daughter born to a father born in Czechoslovakia and a mother who was a first generation Czech-American born in Missouri. When Jeane was born the family was living in the 1st ward of Pilot Grove, Cooper County, Missouri. In 1920, the family was renting at 649 East 9th in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. And by 1930, they owned a $6,000 house at 4012 West 41st Street in Kansas City's 7th ward. Jeane, age 21, was working as a stenographer at a metal products company. Sometime later Jeane moved to St. Louis where she married Edward Quinn in 1939.

Jeane died on a Monday at age 82. She was survived by two sons and their wives, one daughter and her husband, five grandchildren, and seven greats. The funeral was held on Saturday from the family owned Bopp chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd, Kirkwood to Cure of Ars church. Masses or donations to the charity of one's choice were suggested.

In 1910, the family is living at 2612a 10th Street in St. Louis 3rd ward. The father is working as a city policeman. By 1920, the mother has married George Wells and they and Minnie's three children are living at 4578 Garfield in the 26th ward. The step-father is a clerk for the L&N Railroad.

Harriet, age 25, died in a one automobile accident on New Year's Day at Page Avenue and the Creve Couer car tracks in Central township, St Louis County. Her husband Martin, the driver, lost control of the car which struck the curbing and turned over. Cause of death was listed as a fractured skull and broken neck. An inquest was held by the Kirkwood coroner Dr. Louis H Bopp who concluded that it was an "unavoidable auto accident by car turning over ...". Harriet was survived by her husband, mother, brother, sister, mother-in-law. Her funeral was held on Tuesday from the Lynch and Kelly Chapel, 4245 Lindell Blvd. Undertaker Louis H. Bopp of Kirkwood was in charge.
