Biography* Harry T. Lane, 1902-1991:
Harry's father was born in Canada, his mother in Missouri. All four of Harry's grandparents were born in Ireland. In 1920, Harry was living with his parents at 5872 Bartmer Avenue in Saint Louis' 28th ward and was working as a stock boy at a millinery firm. His father William was a com agent with an express company.

Harry died on a Sunday. He was survived by one son and one daughter. Harry's funeral was held the following Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul church. Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa at Watson, was in charge of arrangements.

Biography* Mary Laurence Cody, ca1858-1931:
Born to farmers in Mullinahone, County Tipperary, Ireland Mary's birthdate is not yet known. It is believed that she immigrated to Australia circa 1881. There is conflicting evidence of her father's name. It is listed as John on her 1883 marriage cert and as Andrew in her 1931 death cert. There is also conflicting evidence concerning her mother's maiden name. In the 1883 marriage cert it listed as Doreen and as Direen in the 1931 death cert. Mary's 1883 marriage to John Cody, a man 22-years her senior, was performed by the Rev. John Francis Fitzgerald before witnesses Dominick Bruggenan and Andrew Laurence (her father? her brother?)

Mary, 73, died at her home at 45 Barrow Street, Brunswick on a Thursday. The cause of death was chronic nephritis (years), uraemia (months). Dr. O'Keefe was her physician. Mary was predeceased by her husband, one son and one daughter. She was survived by five children. Mary's funeral was held on Friday. D. A. Hayes was in charge of the burial.

Biography* Mildred Lears Walsh, 1906-2001:
Mildred was born to a first generation German American father born in Texas and a Missouri born mother whose parents were born in Kentucky. In 1910, the family lived at 2327 Mullanphy Street in St. Louis 18th ward. Her father was employed as a shipping clerk at Grand Lead. By 1920, Mildred's father had died and the family was living in the 2200 block of Warren Street in the 18th ward.

Mildred, a resident of Saint Ann, St. Louis County, died on a Friday at age 94. She was survived by her son, two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Mildred's funeral was held on Monday from St. Kevin's Church. She was buried with her husband in his parent's plot.

Probably from Doneraile parish because that's where she was married. No further info.

Mary died on a Friday at age 80. She was listed as the widow of a laborer. The informant was her daughter Johannah, also a resident of Annagh (she marked the record).
     The facts we know beg several questions - what were Mary's circumstances? How did she survive in Annagh for ten-years after her husband died? Her two known sons both went to America after their father died. One of these was back in Ireland by 1901 and living in Kilbolane parish. Was the Annagh farm still in the family from 1884-to-1894? And, if yes, who was operating it? And, if not, who was supporting Mary and how?
