| Biography* | Bridget Hartigan Begley, c1876-1945 Bridget was the second child and first daughter born to her parents in Ireland. The family immigrated to the U.S.A. circa 1876. In 1880, the family was living at 619 Wash Street in St Louis 4th ward. Bridget was married to Michael Begley by Jno. A. Tracy (Catholic Priest). In 1910, they were living at 2608 10th Street in the 3rd ward. In 1918, at 4122a North Newstead. In 1930, at 4532 Lexington in the 22nd ward. Bridget died on a Friday at age 70 of a pulmonary embolism. The attending physician was Dr John J Forti of 4703 Easter Avenue. Her funeral was held Monday from Holy Rosary Church, Saint Louis. Stroot-Carroll Funeral Home, 4600 Natural Bridge Avenue was in charge of arrangements. She was a member of the Married Ladies' Confraternity and the Third Order of Saint Francis. |

| Biography* | Thomas J. Hasty, 1888-????: A first generation Irish-American, Thomas was living with his Ireland born parents at 5320 Hunt Avenue in the 24th ward of Saint Louis in 1900. He was a man of short stature and medium build with blue eyes and brown hair. In 1917, Thomas was living at 4323 Hunt Avenue, supporting his mother and working as a stock clerk at the Saint Louis Water Department. After his marriage, he and his wife rented at 4212a Shaw Avenue in the 24th ward. In 1922, Thomas witnessed Hannah Begley's (his wife's aunt) declaration of intent to become a United States citizen. By 1930, he had been promoted to store keeper at the water department. Thomas and Julia owned their house, worth $5,000, at 6458 Lloyd Avenue in the 24th ward. Julia's mother and her two maiden aunts lived with them. Shortly after his wife's death in 1931, Thomas abandoned his daughter Rosemary, according to family lore, never to be heard from again. Rosemary was raised by her grandmother and two aunts. |

He was a strong supporter of the Australian Labor Party. While John never married, there is some mystery surrounding John’s relationship status. At the time of his death, his sister Mary and brother-in-law Frederick went to Dimboola to identify the body. Upon seeing the body, they noticed a wedding band on his finger, which Frederick removed, stating that it was John’s business and no one else’s. Later in that year, a mysterious woman arrived at the Healy house with a birthday gift for John’s niece, Therese, from John. It is believed that this may have been his partner. |

However, when her father passed the window and saw the photo, he promptly entered the store and demanded that the manager remove the image, as his daughter was not to be a model. He insisted that she be well educated and Mary later gained work as a public servant in the Public Works Department. |

| Biography* | Albon J. Hitchcock, 1905-1975: Born to a father born in Illinois and a mother born in Tennessee, Albon was the seventh of eleven and the third son. He grew up in St. Louis 21st ward. The family lived at 3931 Lee in 1910 and at 3923 Sherman Place in 1920. Albon was married first to Marie M. Martin. Marie died on 23 April 1964. Albon married second Norine Walsh. He was a member of UAW (United Auto Workers) Local 25. Albon died on a Sunday at age 70. He was survived by his second wife, his step-son, a daughter from his first marriage and others. Albon's funeral was held on Wednesday from St. Pius X Church in Glasgow Village. Math Hermann & sons, 10212 Halls Ferry Road was incharge. He was buried with his first wife. |

Edward's funeral was held on Saturday from St. Ann's. Cullen & Kelly Funeral Home, 7267 Natural Bridge, was in charge. |
